The ISO 21448:2022 Road Vehicles — Safety of the Intended Functionality management system certification is an international standard aimed at addressing safety issues arising from insufficient system function definition, performance limitations, and foreseeable driver misuse in intelligent driving functions operating in complex scenarios. The standard is primarily applied in the design and validation processes of intelligent driving systems, ensuring that systems can achieve their intended functionality during actual operation and controlling risks caused by inadequacies in the intended functionality.
Dr. Junjie He stated: "Safety is the core prerequisite for the large-scale deployment of intelligent driving technology. Being awarded the DEKRA SOTIF certification is a strong affirmation of Freetech's technical development system and safety capabilities. We will take this as an opportunity to continuously refine the full-lifecycle safety system for intelligent driving, and drive the reliable application of intelligent driving safety technologies in real-world road scenarios through technological innovation and collaborative standards development."
General Manager of DEKRA, Mingxun Li stated: "We are honored to witness Freetech's successful completion of the ISO 21448:2022 certification. Against the backdrop of the rapid development of intelligent driving technology, this certification not only validates Freetech's professional technical capabilities and rigorous management system, but also provides international-standard safety assurance for the company’s intelligent driving solutions, continuously driving the elevation of industry safety standards for Freetech’s products."

Freetech views safety as a systematic process that requires verifying the integrity, reliability, and safety of the entire management system, product development and intelligent driving assistance related components. From a systematic perspective, the company conducts integrity and functional safety testing across different development stages through systematic design, tiered testing, verification & validation and efficient software architecture. Freetech always prioritizes safety, maintains a profound respect for the market, and advocates that safety and the popularization of intelligent driving go hand in hand.
