Freetech Participates in Drafting the National Standard EMC Test Generic Specification of Vehicle IC, Strengthening the “Chip” Defense Line for Intelligent Vehicles

Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Standardization Administration of China approved and released the EMC Test Generic Specification of Vehicle IC (GB/T 46894-2025). As a principal drafting organization for this national standard, Freetech actively participated in the drafting process, providing support based on its extensive practical experience in the intelligent driving field and contributing its expertise to strengthening the underlying technological safety foundation for China’s intelligent vehicle industry. The standard will officially be implemented on July 1, 2026.

With the deepening of vehicle electrification and intelligence, in-vehicle high-voltage systems, high-power wireless charging, and high-speed data networks have brought up unprecedented electromagnetic challenges. The core of the newly released standard focuses on establishing a nationally unified set of EMC test specifications for the growing number of chips used in vehicles. It is designed to address the standard compliance and quality reliability of domestically manufactured chips in a targeted manner, supporting the upgrade of the automotive-grade chip qualification system. In addition, it provides a unified “testing benchmark” for chip manufacturers, component suppliers, and OEMs. The release of this national standard significantly improves collaboration efficiency and quality consistency, and also promotes the high-quality development of the automotive industry.
Over the past year, Freetech has actively engaged in formulating the national standards. Following its participation in drafting the EMC Test Generic Specification of Vehicle IC, the Company also participated, as a member organization of the national standard working group, in drafting the Intelligent and Connected Vehicle - Safety Requirements of Combined Driver Assistance System - a standard that has attracted wide attention across the intelligent driving assistance industry. During this process, Freetech’s technical experts actively contributed their expertise and put forward multiple constructive insights and suggestions, strongly supported the refinement of the standard. From “chip-level” reliability to the functional safety operation of “system-level” functions in driving assistance, Freetech has consistently evaluated safety from a systematic perspective.
At present, Freetech maintains in-depth cooperation with more than 50 OEMs. Backed by the extensive experience accumulated through large-scale nominations and mass-production delivery, Freetech is able to promote technological progress and safety improvements across the industry in a systematic and fundamental manner by standing from the top-level industry design view point. Looking ahead, Freetech will continue to leverage its practical advantages and actively promote the robust, long-term development of the intelligent driving assistance industry along the safe and standardized path.
