Recently, the project acceptance meeting for the Zhejiang Province 'Pioneer Leadership Initiative,' organized by the Department of Science and Technology of Zhejiang Province, was held in Hangzhou. Following a rigorous review by the expert panel, this 'Pioneer Leadership Initiative' project independently undertaken by Freetech — "Key Technology R&D and Application of Automated Driving Domain Controllers for Intelligent and Connected Vehicles" — successfully passed the project completion acceptance.

Over three years of R&D breakthroughs and mass production practice, Freetech not only fulfilled all project objectives and tasks with industry-leading technological achievements and large-scale mass production deployment, but also accumulated core technologies for high-level domain control through the project. The project yielded 15 patents and 7 software copyrights, laying a solid foundation for the company's leapfrog iteration from highway NOA (Navigation on Autopilot) to City NOA.

The Zhejiang Province 'Pioneer Leadership Initiative' is an important component of the 'Jianbing-Lingyan+X' Science and Technology Program. Organized and implemented by the Department of Science and Technology of Zhejiang Province, the plan focuses on basic applied research and aims to address strategic and forward-looking major scientific challenges, providing sustainable support for economic and social development. As the domain controller serves as the "brain" of the intelligent driving assistance system, Freetech's high-quality completion of this major provincial project represents a solid practice of the company's "technology-driven business" model.

In this project, Freetech's R&D team addressed core challenges and requirements in environmental perception, information fusion, and rapid decision-making for intelligent and connected automated vehicles. The team developed a domain controller oriented toward high-level intelligent driving operational scenarios, capable of supporting complex perception fusion algorithms and creating favorable conditions for end-to-end large models and cockpit+driving synergy applications.

During the domain controller R&D process, multiple key technological breakthroughs were achieved:

  • Self-Developed Algorithm Deployment: Freetech conducted in-depth research on data-driven and rule-based      decision-making and planning algorithms, and developed and applied      multi-source sensor-based environmental perception technologies.

  • Multi-Core Heterogeneous  Architecture Achievement: Completed the design, development, and manufacturing of a      multi-core heterogeneous domain controller system, achieving a balance      between high computing power and high efficiency.

  • High Reliability and Low  Latency:  The domain controller features system reliability, fail-safe design, low      latency, flexible distributed architecture, and high computing power,      enabling functions such as perception, planning, control, connectivity,      cloud control, and vehicle-roadside-cloud integrated coordination.

More importantly, Freetech efficiently transformed the R&D achievements from the 'Pioneer Leadership Initiative' project into commercial applications, achieving large-scale mass production and vehicle installation across multiple vehicle models, further strengthening the company's closed-loop capability from "technology R&D to commercial deployment." The ADC25 domain controller, developed based on these research achievements, successfully deployed high-level AI algorithms on a 128 TOPS computing platform, achieving large-scale mass production of the City NOA solution under stringent power consumption and cost control, delivering a smoother and more intelligent mobility experience for users.

The completed 'Pioneer Leadership Initiative' project is one of the provincial and ministerial-level R&D projects undertaken by Freetech. Rooted in technology leadership and driven by the goal of mass production deployment, the company continuously tackles cutting-edge technologies in the intelligent driving field. This project was a deep technical breakthrough endeavor that drove a comprehensive upgrade of Freetech's R&D system. Through this project, the company accumulated systematic technical assets and core patents — these mass-production-validated experiences will continue to empower the company's intelligent driving technology iteration and provide strong support for the next stage of higher-level autmated driving R&D.
