Freetech Secures Product Business Wins from Leading Domestic and Joint-Venture OEMs for Its J6B Platform, Propelling Driving Assistance into the Era of Standard Configuration
share
Recently, Freetech’s driving assistance solution, powered by Horizon Robotics’ Journey® 6B (J6B), officially secured product business wins from leading domestic and joint-venture OEMs. Available in both smart camera and domain controller form factors, Freetech will deliver high-quality, cost-effective, next-generation active safety products to automotive clients, accelerating the large-scale commercialization of intelligent driving technologies. Previously, Freetech’s City NOA solution, built on the Journey® 6M (J6M) platform, had been nominated for more than 20 vehicle models, several of which have already entered SOP (Start of Production) and mass delivery.

The J6B platform is dedicated to delivering the industry's most cost-effective active safety solutions. Leveraging this foundation based on the 10-20 TOPS computing power range, Freetech has innovatively deployed a Transformer BEV and Sparse4D sparse fusion perception architecture on the J6B computing platform. This significantly enhances the recognition of general, irregular obstacles and the accuracy of ranging under complex road conditions, providing customers with a reliable technical guarantee that perfectly balances performance and cost.
At the functional level, Freetech's J6B driving assistance solution supports over ten active safety features, including AEB, ACC, and LKA. The parking solution supports APA and RPA. It boasts dynamic path planning and adjustment capabilities, offering richer parking routing and robust scenario generalization across diverse environments.
Tailored for global markets, the solution fully complies with C-NCAP 2024 5-star and E-NCAP 2026-2028 5-star standards, offering a one-stop solution for OEMs to navigate domestic and global safety ratings and meet global export requirements. As intelligent driving transitions into a critical phase of mass adoption and globalization, this design win marks another milestone in Freetech's global footprint, fostering the widespread democratization of ADAS active safety technologies.
Previously, Freetech’s "Smart Ride for All" City NOA solution, powered by Journey® 6M, primarily targeted the mainstream mid-level intelligent driving market. The newly secured J6B design wins further solidify the company's "cornerstone" product portfolio. By maintaining a clear focus on the mainstream market and prioritizing cost-efficiency and essential safety needs, Freetech achieves precise coverage across diverse market segments. Concurrently, Freetech’s vertically integrated hardware-software and platform-based development model effectively helps OEMs to reduce adaptation costs, shorten development cycles, and accelerate the time-to-market for new vehicles.
Full-Stack Scaling: Serving both the passenger vehicle and commercial vehicle markets, Freetech has established a three-level product solution matrix - FT Pro / Max / Ultra - capable of meeting automakers' intelligent driving needs from entry-level to mid-to-high-end models. As a pivotal offering for the standard active safety market, Freetech’s J6B driving assistance solution for the company’s basic safety / L2 product portfolio, is scheduled for mass production by 2026. Delivering industry-leading intelligent safety performance, this solution will further drive the global scaled adoption and popularization of advanced intelligent driving technologies.
